The 'Chanel' logo tee is a fun item I picked up at a flee market in Bangkok. And my stuffed elephant, my 6 year old niece made for me in preschool. So cute!
Isabelle Håwi works as a stylist and she also runs her blog here at CarolinesMode.com. Isabelle loves thrift shopping and she's made numerous of great finds throughout the years, how about a Hermes knit sweater for 5 dollars! She also loves to travel the world, her most recent trip was to Africa! We visited her in one of her favorite places in the world - her lovely home here in central Stockholm where we had a peek in her closet.

MY STYLE I'd say my style is quite versatile, I tend to dress after mood. If i can't bother than it'll be just jeans and a tee. But one common factor is always a splash of color, sequins and of course an elephant of some sort, be it on a ring, necklace or belt. FAVORITE DESIGNERS It's always so hard to answer that I reckon, I can never single anyone out haha! But Celiné (Phoebe Philo hits the nail on the head, season after season, I'm amazed!), Chrisopher Kane (no one can make neon's and prints look as good) and I'm loving Swedish newcomers Altewai.Saome. JEWELRY I keep thinking I'm more into minimal jewelry these days, but then when i see something chunky, over the top, and art deco-ish i always end up buying it. But I always wear one of my elephant pieces. I have a few that i switch between, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings. I got an elephant charm necklace from Thai architect/jewelry designer Tam Devakul from my boyfriend for our 5 year anniversary, that i love and never take off. Again though, I end up buying more than I'll use it, I always think 'oh this could be a great detail in a photo shoot....' or ' I could always use that in a job' and I'll buy it. That's the thing with working as a stylist, it's hard to go shopping for just yourself. MOST USED ITEM OF CLOTHING This is such a boring answer but it has to be my faded black jeans from Cheap Monday. But my YSL blazer comes pretty close to the top of the list as well, as does my flared teal Philip Lim dress pants. MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES My havaianas, haha. Since I travel a lot to Asia, I probably wear flip flips like 3 months a year. But when it comes to heels, my Proenza Schoulers keep my feet from aching a whole night and the next day. MOST UNCOMFORTABLE My visa card would be very upset hearing this, but it has to be the Louboutins. I don't know what it is. Everyone says they're the most comfortable and all, but my feet give up after 2-3 hours. Maybe i need to get them reheeled? LATEST DESTINATION I was in Entabeni, South Africa in early June. What a beautiful place! Did the whole safari deal, flew a helicopter, ate fantastic food and drank even more amazing wine. And I got to see such gorgeous animals. The elephants were of course the best part. DREAM DESTINATION I've traveled quite a bit, but obviously have a lot more to see (196 official countries in the world!) My absolute dream destination is Papua New Guniea, I've always be intrigued by it, and the rain forests are meant to be like nowhere else in the world. Bhutan is pretty high on the list as well as One Foot Island in the Cook Islands. FAVORITE PERFUME I wear Clean a lot, my absolut favorite is Shower Fresh. But for nostalgia trips i like Lolita Lempicka, it reminds me of my teenage years. FAVORITE SHOPS Well e-bay doesnt classify as a store I guess. But i do buy most of my wardrobe secondhand and vintage. But for buget favorites I like H&M, Zara and Uniqlo (for tee, shirts and socks!). FAVORITE CLOTHING PIECE Right now my favorite is my white suit, the pants are perfectly fitted with some flare and the jacket is double breasted and in the crispest white shade. / my rattan clutch, even though it's such a hassle to carry it / my Prada plexi heels, the work with everything! LATEST BUY I got a set of 15 Balenciaga hangers of E-bay the other day for my studio, but clothing wise it was a pair of print silk pajama pants from Zara. NEXT PURCHACE Right not I'm searching for the perfect black boots for the fall. I don't want them to be too robust. I have a picture in my mind, we'll see if i manage to find a pair that make the cut. I'm also looking for the perfect knit, preferably in a teal or jade green shade. And of course a new bag, I want a leather tote, preferably in white leather or midnight blue if i can't find that I'll have a closer look at the Givenchy Antigona, when I head to New York in a month. FALL TRENDS I love how there is a lot of 60's influences this fall. The mod squad look, with the peter pan collars, a line coats, short skirts and use of color. I'm gone a keep an extra eye out for printed pieces, and try to mix match more prints, florals with stripes, polka dots with graphics. And of course I'm going to get myself a white polo sweater and try to find a budget version of Celiné's two toned trousers.
